Resident Evil is a horror game series created by Capcom. It includes survival horror, third-person shooter, and first-person shooter games. Players survive in an environment where is surrounded by zombies and other mutated creatures. 

About Resident Evil 5

Resident Evil 5 was released in March 2009 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, and in September 2009 on Windows. It was re-released in June 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The storyline centers on Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance agents Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar investigating a terrorist threat in Kijuju, a fictional region in West Africa. Chris learns that he must confront his past in the form of old adversaries Albert Wesker and his former partner Jill Valentine.

Resident Evil 5 was the first game in the series designed for two-player cooperative play. It is also considered the first game in the main series to move away from the survival horror genre and be more of an action game. Besides, Resident Evil 5 was also the first video game to use a virtual camera system.

About Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard was published in January 2017 for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. Later, it became available in Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

It returns to the series' survival horror roots, emphasizing on exploration, which is different to Resident Evil 5. It is the first mainline Resident Evil game to use a first-person perspective. Players take the role of Ethan Winters, who is exploring a Baker family's abandoned country estate in Dulvey, Louisiana and attempting to save his wife, Mia. Throughout this game, Ethan needs to confront with Baker families and Molded, a humanoid fungal creature.
